McDonald's needs to beef up sales at over 36,000 restaurants it runs across the world due to financial pressures the business has been feeling over the past few years.
In line with this, it has sought to make additions to its product-line. The production cost is to be brought down by reorganizing the management. This way, it plans to save money to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars.
To renew its merits, McDonald's is seriously contemplating on offering breakfast on its menu 24 hours a day. The McDonald's delivery experiment is to be conducted in New York City involving a total of 88 restaurants in the vicinity.
All this is being done to revitalize the burger among the public in close competition with rivals. Exotic menus coupled with chicken dishes are on the anvil with an aim to re brand the burger to a comprehensive new shape. The international market segments hosted by McDonald's are also to be revitalized.
The restructuring is also to see to a large number of restaurants being re franchised by the December of 2018. McDonald's is run by franchisees who take up the task of running individual restaurants. This way, the company does not have to share the financial costs of selling. There is to be a lot more to this end by the end of 2018.
The burger company sailed through the financial crisis that hit the world in the late 2000s when the number of consumers with disposable income dipped to an all time low. With the shot in the arm the economy has had in the recent years, sales of the branded burgers are bound to shoot up.
